As a City Councilmember, David has:

• Championed and created the City of Santa Ana’s library department, brought back the city’s bookmobile, and opened the first new library in 50 years.
• Expanded the city’s police department, adding 50 sworn officers.
• Opened five new parks across the city, including the city’s first dog park.
• Saved the city $212 million by refinancing civic pension debt.
• Spearheaded public safety initiatives including an anti-street-takeover ordinance and new rules and oversight for sober living homes.
• Launched the new flagship Memorial Park Aquatic Center project.
• Led the Bristol Street Corridor Project, which is attracting more than $3 billion in investment and 17,000 new jobs to Santa Ana.
• Streamlined and simplified the plan check process to enable the construction of affordable housing.
